Tuition

Students will have their own OneNote Notebook where the work from all of our lessons will be kept. Between lessons I ensure that these are regularly kept organised by topic and are updated.  

The benefit of the OneNote is that it allows students to have one clear source of everything they need to know. Students who I have been tutoring for nearly 2 years have the entirety of all the skills that they need to revise for their GCSE or A-Level exams. 

Experience and Qualifications: 

I have nearly a decade's worth of tuition experience with which I have trained and developed my teaching skills. I am an experienced teacher and KS3 coordinator at my current school. I hold a Bachelor's Degree and two Master degree's, alongside a Qualified Teacher Status.  

The other tool I use is Google Classroom where all useful documents are posted. Revision packs for upcoming tests can be made by myself in my spare time and uploaded here. With parent and student permission I can be requested to record parts of lessons (without cameras on) so that students have the ability to relisten to my explanations later on, whether its days, weeks or months later. My current students have found these "mini-lecture videos" to be extremely helpful!

  • My main priority is getting students to find the desire to study maths. Without this they won't do well in the subject. Making the lessons and my teaching interesting is a vital. Through this I have helped many students achieve great results over the years.

  • Parents often book 1 hour weekly lessons with me but that doesn’t mean that the student will only have 1 hour of support weekly. I often give free extra time, especially during the exam period and am generally always available to login online to help students whenever they have a question. I like to offer support and guidance as much as I possibly can.

  • As mentioned above, I structure my tuition so that students really benefit from the technology and resources that I have. Using a graphics tablet and having multiple screens makes this a lot easier to teach! Working online also allows me to support students whenever they need it as opposed to being restricted to face-to-face lessons.
